No one is responsible for your health except you. We at LCOIH are not responsible for your health but we want to empower you to make the right choices for your health. Empower means “to make someone stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life.” While there are many things in this life we can not control, there are definitely some that we can. We can control what kind of food we put in our mouth. what thoughts we put in our mind and how much time we spend exercising. We truly want you to be healthy and for you to be the boss of your health plan. We really want to come along side you and guide you.
Health is a journey and it takes committing to making changes in diet as well as your checkbook. It means changing your perspective on what you are worth. I always get the feed back that “it is too expensive, whether people are talking about organic food or an osteopathic treatment. “Yes it is,” I always say. But so is an iPhone 10 and a new car with 6 years of monthly payments. Isn’t your health worth more than an iPhone or a car?
Real health may mean giving up the foods you so desperately think you can not live without. Let me ask you this? If your health problem went away if you stopped eating it, would it be worth it? Our value or worth is not found in the food we eat, the car we drive or the phone we have in our pocket. Our value and worth is found in an amazing God who promised to give rest to those who are tired, To comfort those who are weary, and to heal you. God says in Jeremiah 30:17 “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds.”
God also asks us to do something. When the Israelites were about to conquer Jericho, God gave them victory, but they had to do something. They had to walk around the city and make noise, right? In the same way, God has given you victory over your illness, but you have to do something. You need to do the hard work and make some serious changes in your eating habits, thinking habits and how you move your body.
