OUR PURPOSE

We believe in real health

“ When you are healthy you have the the ability to dream about your future. When you are not well, your one dream is to get your health back. When we give you the tools to achieve real health, the door opens, so that you can fulfill the purpose for which you are here.”
Dr. Boyer DO

This is why we do what we do! We want people to be able to fulfill the purpose God has for their lives, but in order to that you need your health.

70-80% of chronic disease is caused by our lifestyle. Lifestyle simple means what we put in our mouth, what we put in our minds and how we move.

We believe there are 4 pillars to achieve real health: simple nutrition, true motion, toxin management and empowered choices.

The Four Pillars of Real Health

Our purpose is to meet people where they are on their health journey, coach them in making health goals and to empower them with the tools to help them achieve their goals!

 Simple Nutrition

Simple nutrition is the foundation of health. What you put in your mouth matters. One small change in your diet can have huge effect on your health. We believe simple nutrition is real food. Real food is organic, non-GMO and minimally processed.

 Toxin  Management

We live in a toxic world. We are exposed to toxic heavy metals in our water and in our personal care products like deodorant. We consume pesticides in the food we eat. In order to get healthy and stay healthy, we need to manage our toxins. Our detoxification organs are our liver, gallbladder, and intestines, kidneys, lungs, lymph and our skin, which is our biggest detoxification organ.

In order to manage our toxins we need to limit our exposure and assist our detoxification orders to work to their maximum potential. We limit our exposure by eating organic food and by using chemical free cleaning products to name a few. The team at LCOIH can help you limit further exposure to toxins in our environment.

 True Motion

True Motion is how the body moves. In order for the body to be its healthiest, the body needs to be moving, both on a cellular level and at a macroscopic level. This means you need to be stretching, and exercising to keep your body moving and your fluids circulation. It also means from an osteopathic standpoint that your organs, bones, muscles, fascia and cranial bones etc need to also be moving.

 Empowered Choices

No one is responsible for your health except you. We at LCOIH are not responsible for your health but we want to empower you to make the right choices for your health. Empower means “to make someone stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life.” While there are many things in this life we can not control, there are definitely some that we can. We can control what kind of food we put in our mouth. what thoughts we put in our mind and how much time we spend exercising. We truly want you to be healthy and for you to be the boss of your health plan. We really want to come along side you and guide you.

Health is a journey and it takes committing to making changes in diet as well as your checkbook. It means changing your perspective on what you are worth. I always get the feed back that “it is too expensive, whether people are talking about organic food or an osteopathic treatment. “Yes it is,” I always say. But so is an iPhone 10 and a new car with 6 years of monthly payments. Isn’t your health worth more than an iPhone or a car?

Real health may mean giving up the foods you so desperately think you can not live without. Let me ask you this? If your health problem went away if you stopped eating it, would it be worth it? Our value or worth is not found in the food we eat, the car we drive or the phone we have in our pocket. Our value and worth is found in an amazing God who promised to give rest to those who are tired, To comfort those who are weary, and to heal you. God says in Jeremiah 30:17 “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds.”

God also asks us to do something. When the Israelites were about to conquer Jericho, God gave them victory, but they had to do something. They had to walk around the city and make noise, right? In the same way, God has given you victory over your illness, but you have to do something. You need to do the hard work and make some serious changes in your eating habits, thinking habits and how you move your body.

You are worth the investment in your health.
